Blower Motor Resistor Types
The blower resistor plays an important role in the car air conditioning system, used to control the speed and air volume of the blower motor. Depending on the control methods, the blower resistor can be divided into the following types:

*Linear Potentiometer:
The voltage is regulated by changing the resistance value, thereby controlling the speed of the blower motor. Linear potentiometers are used in traditional automotive air conditioning systems to adjust the air volume by connecting resistors with different resistances in series. When the low gear is selected, a larger value of resist is connected in series; when the medium gear is selected, a smaller value of resistor is connected in series; when the high gear is selected, no resistor is connected in.

*Speed Control Module:
In modern automotive air conditioning systems, the speed control of the blower motor often uses a speed control module, which controls the power output of the tube (such as a transistor) by PWM (pulse width modulation) to change the speed of the blower motor. This method is more precise and efficient, and can provide stable air volume control.
